Raising the ceiling shows more of the network, including structures a
general-access vehicle clears — the 4.3 m default is the HVNL limit,
not a preference, and the bands are drawn against it either way.
Hiding bridges leaves only the structures whose limit is known to
apply to the road itself. It removes little at a low ceiling — the
genuinely low structures are overwhelmingly tunnels, 149 of the 169
at 4.3 m — and a great deal at a high one, where bridges dominate.

Set either half to 0 to judge on the other alone — on both lines,
since one line testing what the other ignores is not an earlier
warning. “and” is the default: ±25% alone fires at one minute on a
four-minute headway, and ±5 min alone fires on a forty-minute one.
A watch set at or past the alarm is pulled back inside it (to 60%
of it) — it is the earlier line, and a watch band nothing can reach
is no warning at all.
